Jahshaka at Siggraph 2006 By admin Published: July 29, 2006 PrintEmail
Siggraph is the place to check the pulse of the computer graphics industry and catch a glimpse of everything that’s new in products, systems, techniques and ideas. This year, that will include Jahshaka! We’ll be at the Open Source Pavilion (booth 1527) so please stop by to chat with our programmers or just chill out.
The Open Source Pavilion is in the main aisle at the trade show. It will feature a large projection screen for public tutorials and a phalanx of computer terminals for public use.
We will be showing of the latest release of jahshaka 2.0rc4 (a stability based release that crushed over 100 known bugs and is due out online early next week) and we will be giving away cool jahshaka CD's and t-shirts so please come over and help to support us!
We will also be showing off the first milestone in the v3 redevelopment - the new jPlayer and JahPlayer tools. Built on the openlibraries using pure python and Qt for the GUI the new architecture rocks and we will now be able to build on it quite rapidly moving ahead to implement node based compostiing and real time color correction as a part of our 2nd milestone.
