JPlayer is now CinePlay! By admin Published: November 6, 2007 PrintEmail
We are pleased to announce that Silversoft, developers of the OpenLibraries codebase, have taken over development of our consumer tools - allowing us to get back to our original focus of building high end DCC applications – Jahplayer and Jahshaka.
Silversoft has taken over the Jplayer codebase, rewritten it from scratch, and just released the first Beta of CinePlay, a free, open source, cross platform media player that uses OpenGL for the playback. CinePlay supports all codecs - everything from FLV, Quicktime, DivX and AVI files to uncompressed sequences. Check it out on www.silversoft.com/cineplay
Key Cineplay Benefits:
User friendly media player that supports all video file formats Free open source technology powered by OpenLibraries Easy to use – just drag and drop your video file into the player Supports all types of video file formats, including Divx Multiplatform - Windows, Apple, Linux FLVP Player – Flash video player – supports all Flash video formats Includes FFMPEG support Easy to use – drag and drop player Supports mobile video content , digital camera and camcorder video.
Why did we choose Silversoft? Silversoft has a great team of developers on board and they have agreed to sponsor the project moving ahead because they believe in what we are doing. They will be assisting us in restructuring and enabling us to get back on our feet by providing legal, technical and financial support - letting us get back to our open source roots and to continue to give back to the community.
