Many people have asked how the relations between OL and JahShaka / JahPlayer are. I hope to bring some clearness into this. I will use a top down strategy and start with the things you can see on the screen for not makeing it to complicated on the start.
[edit] Jahshaka / Jahplayer
Jahplayer and JahShaka are written in Phyton under usage of the QT-Framework. The benefit of using phyton as language is that this is an very easy and (mostly) cross platform compatible. Phyton is also well known by much professional graphics artists and video pros, so that they can easily adopt Jahplayer or Jahshaka to fit their needs and adopt it to their personal workflow. With the QT framework you have a kind of abstraction layer for a user Interface which empowers you to deploy a software for many software systems for example Windows / Linuxx / MacOS.
[edit] CinePlay
CinePlay is a player written entierly in c++ und usage of Qt. In opposite to Jahplayer or Jahshaka an user can't fit CineFX to his needs. So CinePlay is an product which is easier to maintain for the devs. So CinePlay is used as a test App for functions of the Openlibraries. The benefit of CineFx is that we will that, if this player is released, we will have the chance to get further developers on board.
[edit] CineCode
Cinecode is a tool which enables you to convert Videos to an Flash format, very easily.
[edit] OpenLibraries
The OpenLibraries are the base of the applications named above. They provide the complete Video/Sound editing and playback functionality.
