[edit] Why do we need rules
As I started this document there had been no direct rules for wiki pages. This causes multiple problems with the wiki.
- There were over 25 links on the starpage, new users were confused
- 15 of these links were dead
- There is no separation between Jahshaka and Jahwiki Pages
- Nearly no Page looked like the other
These and a few other things causes me to create a few basic rules, for this wiki.
I tried to hold them as simple as possible.
[edit] Creating new pages
If you need to create a page don't drop it in the first level. Think about where it would fit best. There are some prefixes you could use to separate the pages from another and mark to which area they belong. The prefixes are:
- JahShaka:_
- JahPlayer:_
- JahShaka_Development:_
- JahPlayer_Development:_
- Community:_
Team pages have
i.e.
- Team_HCI:_
- Team_Documentation_
Every Page should be in one of these namespaces.
The name should be a understandable name of the page. cause it is used as title of the page. Blanks can be done with _

If You create a page and do not want to fill it with content immediately please use one of the templates listed bellow.
Every page you create or edit should be complaining with the styleguide.

We have created some templates for marking pages. If you are not fluent in English or unsure with the contents you are explaining, please use these tags. This will enable people to search for them and correct the pages.
