This is a very basic tutorial on how to setup an IRC client. I will use chatzilla for this because it is a very basic and easy client available on nearly every operating system (Every OS which could run firefox). Chatzilla is a plugin for the Firefox browser. You can basically use every client to connect to the IRC channel.

For all other clients, connect to #jahshaka on freenode.net.

Sorry for the German Screenshots, but unfortunately I have no possibility to do english ones....

P.s. This is a early draft, I will create better screenshots and better explanation to some points in the next few days.

P.s.s. If you find some errors, badly articulated things or if you feel willing to improve this mesh of bad screenshots and bad pictures, I would be glad if you do so.

Start the Firefox addon manager.

Klick on download addons

Search for Chatzilla and install it

Click install now

Restart Firefox

Klick on the following link irc://irc.freenode.net/#jahshaka

Normally the shown window should pop up. To set up your Username you need to open Chatzilla -> Preferences.

After clicking on irc.freenode.net you can set your nickname (Please user your forum name, so that others can recognize you). The new name will be used after restarting chatzilla.
